Frederick R. Faxvog, Senior Program Director

Dr. Frederick R. Faxvog, BS, MS, Ph D in Electrical Engineering, University of Minnesota, has significant experience in R&D, Engineering and Strategic Planning while at Honeywell and General Motors. He is presently a Sr. Program Director at Emprimus LLC. The primary programs under his direction are the Power Grid Protection product to protect against Geomagnetic (Solar) Storms and the Shielded & Protective Electronic Cabinets product family to protect against Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) and Intentional Electromagnetic Interference (IEMI).

Dr. Faxvog brings more that 30 years of research, engineering and management experience at General Motors Research Labs and Honeywell. While at Honeywell he was Director of Marketing and Product Management for the gyro, accelerometer and inertial measurement businesses. Earlier he was the Manager of Sensor Systems at Honeywell’s Systems and Research Center (SRC). Fred made significant contributions to the growth of Honeywell’s guidance and navigation business as well as other sensor based product areas. Before joining Honeywell he was Group Leader in the Physics Department at the General Motors Research Laboratories. He is the author of thirty-two publications in refereed journals and the six patents.

He serves on the University of Minnesota Electrical and Computer Engineering Industrial Advisory Board, and is past President of the Minnesota Section of the American Optical Society.
